To create a store locator you need the LocateStore add-on for Google Sheets. This guide covers installing it, signing in, and setting up your first locator.
Install the add-on
LocateStore has a Google Workspace add-on which you can install on your Google sheet. Start the installation by clicking the Install button.
Sign in to your Google account
Connect your Google account to the LocateStore add-on by signing in.
Click Allow to grant the necessary permissions to LocateStore, and you are all set.
Check the installation
Open a new Google Sheet, then click Extensions > Store Locator📍 to confirm the add-on is there.
Tip
Type sheet.new in the address bar to open a new Google Sheet directly.
Note
Sometimes it takes a second or two for installed add-ons to appear. If you do not see anything under Extensions, wait a few seconds and click Extensions again.
Follow the onboarding steps
You can start off your store locator by adding some dummy data to your Google sheet. On the right hand side, you will see an onboarding setup. Just follow the steps to create your store locator.
Manage the settings
Once the store locator is created, go to Extensions on your Google sheet, choose the Store Locator add-on and open Settings. The add-on lets you manage the entire store locator from the Google sheet without having to visit the dashboard.
Add locations to your Google sheet
You can continue adding locations to your Google sheet and have them displayed on your store locator.
