How to add coordinates manually?

Sometimes, coordinate generation inside Google Sheet may fail. In such a scenario you can still add a location by adding the coordinates (latitude and longitude) manually into the Google sheet column.

Add from Google Maps

You can manually add coordinates from Google Maps. Follow these steps to add coordinates for missing locations:

Open Google Maps on your computer. Find the desired location on the map. You can either search for a specific location using the search bar at the top left of the screen or navigate manually by zooming and panning the map.

Once you have found the location on the map, place your mouse cursor over it and right-click. This will bring up a pop-up window with a context menu.Click '37.75236, -122.43464'

In the context menu that appears, you will see the latitude and longitude coordinates of the location at the top of the menu.

Simply left-click on the coordinates displayed at the top of the context menu. Google Maps will automatically copy the latitude and longitude to your clipboard.

Paste the coordinates inside your Google Sheet under the Coordinates column.

Note

After you copy-paste if you still do not see the location, make sure you do a force sync.
